LAURENTIA
Designer: Laurie McGowan

LAURENTIA is a 13' (4m) micro-cruiser developed for a WoodenBoat Design:Sketchbook request letter. The boat was originally meant for Northern Lakes, though would be happy in most waters. Stable and dry, and with Cape Cod Catboat styling, LAURENTIA will also be a good performer and have excellent control - with the sail area balanced between three sails (four, if a flipping topsail is used).

Construction is plywood/epoxy/'glass, using laminated chines, sheer clamps, and keelson, and LAURENTIA has the following particulars:

  • LOD: 13 -1/2″ (3.98m)
  • LWL: 12′11″ (3.94m)
